Styling with Steve Madden

Nat McPherson

Kimmie Espadrille Sandal By: Steve Madden

I can’t believe summer is already here! As you can tell from my look, I can’t get away from dark color and unique pieces. I just love my vintage tones. I’ve never been one for bright neon colors, I’m more of an earthy tone type of person. That’s why I’ve been in LOVE with these new sandals from Steve Maddan and Zappos. has an amazing selection of shoes for Women, Men and even children. They have amazing deals and a ton of sales! I only paid $69.95 for these pair, which I think is such a really great price!

I’ve been into mixing patterns and not really sticking to any rules, that’s why I’m loving these sandals! They also have other colors that are perfect for summer!

Civic In the city nyc with honda

Nat McPherson

Imagine this: It’s rush hour in the middle of Times Square, dozens of people crossing the streets, and dozens of taxis along side of you. On top of all of that, there are men and women on bikes who are cutting you off and not even looking twice. Best part: you don’t mind because you’re driving a brand new 2019 Honda Civic Sedan. This vehicle is designed with smart tech details allowing you to keep yourself and others safe on the roads, even in a busy area like New York City.

I had the honor of joining the Honda team on an adventure of a lifetime. Jacob and I traveled to NYC for three days to test drive and learn all about the new features the Honda Civic has to offer. We were asked to explore the city in a #civicinthecity challenge! We explored parts of Brooklyn, Times Square, Washington Square, and more!

Lucky for me, I grew up in a household of car lovers. My family owns a upholstery shop in Miami Florida called Shamrock Auto Trim. My dad has worked on cars his whole life and I’ve grown to love them as well, so I felt like I knew a thing or two about cars.

Upon heading to NYC I did some research about the new Honda Civic. I was excited to learn about the Apple CarPlay along with the Honda Sensing features. The Apple CarPlay was showcase on a screen in the car allow you to use feature such as navigation and apple music. With Apple CarPlay, Jacob and I were able to listen to a playlist from our phone without having to even touch our phone. #SAFETYFIRST

First stop on our adventure was the Manhattan Bridge. We drove our Honda Civic in the color Ryelle Red through the morning traffic and found a park that showcased the bridge perfectly. After exploring Brooklyn for a while we headed up state for a quick lunch break. We even got to see part of New Jersey!

My favorite part was being able to drive in the hustle and bustle of NYC, as well as the beautiful outskirts of New Jersey. While driving we tested out all the amazing features this car has to offer.

Some of our favorite features included:

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow

ACC helps you maintain a set following interval behind a detected vehicle for highway driving. If the detected vehicle slows to a stop, ACC is designed to slow and stop your vehicle as well. After stopping, a tap on the throttle instructs the car to continue maintaining the desired interval.

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)

With your hands on the steering wheel, long highway drives are easier with LKAS. It subtly adjusts steering to help keep the vehicle centered in a detected lane.

Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™)

CMBS™ can help bring your Civic Sedan to a stop by automatically applying brake pressure when the system determines that a frontal collision is unavoidable.

Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)

RDM can determine if you cross over detected lanes without signaling, can provide steering assistance to help you return to your lane or provide braking to help you keep from leaving the roadway entirely.

After a full day of shooting and content creating, we headed out on foot to discover more hidden gems in New York City. We visited Times Square, Washington Park, and The Flatiron Building. New York City is such a special place to me. I have been traveling her since I was a little girl with my grandmother, and there is always such a creative spark that is lit inside me when I see these buildings and streets. There’s something about the culture and people that really inspires me. We had such an amazing time with the Honda team. They really informed and educated us on all the features of this Honda Civic. So many people I know have purchased this as their first car. The safety and quality of this car is top notch, Honda cares about their customers and it truly shows.

Thank you so much to the Honda team for hosting such a great event! I hope you guys enjoyed reading about my NYC trip! If you would like to read more about the 2019 Honda Civic click here!

I love that my new space represents me. I love fashion because what you wear can show off your personality without you having to say a word. Therefore, I love home decor because they way you decorate can say a lot of about you. It also just makes me so happy to come home to a clean organized home!

On September 22, 2018, my boyfriend Jake and I went to Disney World! We were invited by Disney World to visit all four parks in ONE DAY! Which if you’ve ever been to Disney World…. That’s a LONG day. We were so tired by the end of the night but we had so much fun!

We went to the parks on a Saturday, which is super risky. Disney tends to be more crowded on weekends, but with our schedules that was the only day Jake could get off of work. So we expected long lines and long wait times. To our surprise though, there wasn’t that many people.

We went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios (anyone remember when it was called MGM?!) The parks opened at 9 A.M., but we ended up showing up around 8:30 A.M. and they were already letting people inside the parks! Which was so nice because we RAN to Toy Story Land. We hopped in line for Slinky Dog Dash, which I ended up chickening out on! But Jake said it was AMAZING! Toy Story Land is so neat and I really do wanna go back and face my fears.

When then headed to Animal Kingdom, and the first ride we rode was Dinosaurs. Which was SO much fun. To be honest, I don’t remember ever going on that ride before and I loved it! It was actually pretty scary, and possibly my new favorite ride.

We then ate lunch in Dino land and took a second to relax. After lunch we went to Pandora World, which was stunning. This was our first time going and it was beautiful. The line was SO LONG. We waited for about to hours. But the ride was amazing and totally worth it.

After the exploring Animal Kingdom, we went on over to Epcot because we had a fast pass for “Soaring”. Which is a great ride! It was my first time going on it since the new improvements. I did end up leaving my Mickey ears below the seat… then Jake ran back to find them for me. #truelove

We ended the night at Magic Kingdom, and took some pictures for instagram right at sundown. Something about being at Magic Kingdom around sunset is just so magical! Overall, we had an amazing trip! It was very hot and my feet were killing me by the end of the night. But in the end, it turned out to be such an amazing day!

Although we didn’t get to ride that many rides, we tried to get a few good Instagram pictures here and there! Here’s what I got!

2017 Year of unexpected

Nat McPherson

2017 was honestly such a great year. Not only did I grow as a person, but as a brand. I was creating content that I was proud of. Which is something that I struggled with a lot since I starting my Instagram. With that being said, I did run into some major hardships at the beginning of last year. I started off the year by experiencing major depression and heartache. At the start of 2017, I wasn't exactly the person I wanted to be. Mainly due to the fact that I wasn't surrounded by positive people. I was living in Orlando and I was basically alone 75% of the time. I wasn't pushing myself to try new things. I was scared. I was basically alone. As soon as I removed myself from that situation I felt such a weight lifted off my shoulders. I found myself feeling happy again. And it was such a relief.

2017 was such a successful year business wise. I finally learned how I could make money on my Instagram. It has now become a second job. I learned how to communicate with brands and how to create impactful content. I now have some amazing relationships with brands I only dreamt of working with! I can only hope to work with more this year.

I also found love again with someone unexpected. Jake and I went to high school together. We both shared a chorus class. I remember him always coming in late. All my friends thought he was “so hot". And I probably could care less! ha, sorry babe! But honestly, I never really a boyfriend in high school. I was always so shy when it came to boys. Fast forward to 2017..... I get this DM from Jake. He was telling me how pretty I was! It was probably the sweetest thing ever. One small coffee date followed and the rest is history. I have never met some so sweet. He is always motivating me and giving me the best advice. If there is one thing I learned about love, it is that you should always be with someone who thinks you are the greatest thing. You deserve to have someone who looks at you like you are the world. Because you deserve that type of love. Don't ever settle for anything less.

2017 was a year of the unexpected. It taught me that everything happens for a reason. And that you should have patience. Because you never know what lies next. There is always an adventure waiting for you. But you just have to want to take that leap. Make everyday count because you never know when you will get that shot again. And never let anyone shy you away or scare you from following your dreams. Following your heart is scary. There may be days where you don't want to do something. But if you find the courage, you will thank your self later. Trust me. Surprise yourself this year. I know I will. May this be the best year ever. 2018 I am so ready for you.

Bedroom Decor

Nat McPherson

I am actually obsessed with how my room turned out! For months now I’ve wanted to redecorate. I’ve always loved moving things around and rearranging. Something about a clean room makes me very happy. Cleaning is also very therapeutic for me. Whenever I feel the need to change something in my life, I usually decide to fix up my room. Prior to redecorating, I spent hours on Pinterest. (This is where I got most of my ideas.) I wanted something very boho chic with a 70s twist. Also, since I’m a crazy plant lady, I needed storage and space for my children aka plants. A lot of the furniture pieces are vintage. This past spring, I went to a lot garage sales and thrift stores. You never know what treasures you will find! From the old photography tripod lamp to my $5.00 vintage 70s chair. Everything was bought on a budget. I even did a lot of DIYs. My favorite is the macrame wall piece. It originally came as two separate wall pieces. But in order for it to be long enough for my bed, I glued the two pieces together. I ended up spending a total of $10.00 on the whole project. I also turned those four crate boxes into night stands. The crates are such a perfect height and also provide great storage. I'm so happy with how my room looks now. It provides such an amazing energy. A great place to relax and unwind.

Brunch with Bartaco

Nat McPherson

Happy Weekend babes! I don't know about you, but one of my favorite weekend activities is going out to eat! Last weekend Bartaco invited me to try their #bartacosecret (which by the way SHOULD NOT BE A SECRET). #sogood This special item is a crispy soft-shell crab taco, made with a tempura battered shell, placed atop a tomatillo chow chow, and drizzled with lemon aioli. This special off-the-menu item was so delicious and a perfect mix of flavor. You seriously have to try!

You also have to try some of their side dishes! I had the plantains, corn, and chips with guacamole. You seriously can not go wrong with some good guac! Also, you need to some of their tasty new cocktails: Anchojito, Smoked Marasca, Oaxaca Spritz! Overall, I had an amazing experience! Not only is the food AMAZING! But Bartaco really creates the perfect atmosphere for a wonderful dining experience. Find the locations nearest you @bartacolife

Where are you going to eat this weekend?
